2022 Cab Franc

This was the second shortest and coldest season Legacy have had since we began growing wine in 1999. This vintage was harvested just before Halloween and has good balance and structure that stands well with the high acidity. This is the most French style Pinot Noir we have presently in stock. Strong fruit on the front palate, strawberry and cherry mid palate, finishing with a crisp clean texture and a hint of French oak. Pairs well with roast chicken, Alfredo dishes and anything with mushrooms. Winemaker’s favorite is Chicken Thighs sautéed with wild Oregon Chantrelle Mushrooms & Shallots, splashed with this Pinot Noir, served over Rice.
