2014 Pinot Noir
2014 was the longest and warmest growing season on record since 1999. From early in March through October the weather stayed warm with cool nights and very little rain, making for an early harvest at the end of September. Deep color, rich tannins and dark berry fruits, some currant at the back palate. This wine definitely stands alone as a glass to be enjoyed by the Pinot Noir lover. Big, Bold, lots of structure and heavier Oak at the finish than any of our other Pinots. Winemakers favorite pairing: Elk backstrap, smoked lightly and then grilled just rare, Rosemary red potatoes with garlic, or, Olive oil and parsley linguine topped with Romano, sided by blanched fresh Broccolini.
